The Human Centipede
Wow... my friend Chris was talking about this movie on our way to school and I forgot about it till I saw this again on boingboing. It is about some psychotic surgeon that kidnaps people and sows them together like this:

From Robert Ebert's review:
....there is a scene toward the end, as the Human Centipede attempts escape, that's so piteous, it transcends horror and approaches tragedy....
I am required to award stars to movies I review. This time, I refuse to do it. The star rating system is unsuited to this film. Is the movie good? Is it bad? Does it matter? It is what it is and occupies a world where the stars don't shine.
The movie is supposedly down right nauseating even for the hardcore horror fan. Who's brave enough to actually see this?
Even the trailer is a little rough so you sensitive types should skip it.
Dunno if it's still playing in theaters, I accidentally typed in "Human Caterpillar" and this really came up:

I checked it out, it was cheap, but sometimes you should really just spend the extra money..

Inappropriate Golden Books
Pixar story artist Josh Cooley has been doing these for a while, and will be compiling them into a book. I really want a print of the first one..

Playing with color
Read a scanning tutorial that really helped set up the line drawings. So I figured might as well start trying to color stuff..
Drawings from Friday
The model really did have a face..

and somehow it's only dudes outside smoking at the bar.
I put em all in the same image so they are kinda tiny.

Self Preservation
These are scary times, and I want you all to be prepared, so i've compiled some videos and helpful tips.
First up a short film by Chris Harding about learning to defend yourself
Here are some easy to remember rules to protect yourself:
1) Just touch the face
2)Never underestimate the kick to the groin
3)Two words..."ball flurries"
4)Get wrist control
By now you should be a world class ass kicker
If you still don't feel safe you can hire always hire some protection

In Search Of Steve Ditko
Best known for his creation/co-creation of Spider-Man, Steve Ditko is something of a comics enigma. After nearly forty issues of the extremely popular Spider-man, he walked away without explanation, and to this day still hasn't done an interview. They got a lot of huge comic talent talking about Ditko, and even a field trip with Neil Gaiman. Did you ever want to see Alan Moore

Chuck Jones-The Dover Boys at Pimento University
Watching a documentary on him called "Extremes and Inbetweens."
Hadn't seen this cartoon in years, apparently he caught a bunch of flack from the studio
because of the blurred animation. They thought it looked cheap, looks awesome to me.
