George Baker Selection-Little Green Bag
As heard in Reservoir Dogs, guess originally the song was called "Little Greenback," but the label that pressed the record accidentally printed "Little Green Bag."

Can
From the Wiki: "Can was an experimental rock band formed in Cologne, West Germany in 1968. Later labeled as one of the first "krautrock" groups, they transcended mainstream influences and incorporated strong minimalist and world music elements into their often psychedelic music." Saw one of the songs posted on Dangerous Minds, and was instantly hooked.

Harvey Pekar
Mr. Pekar passed away today at age 70, let's read some of his books and celebrate his life.

Here is some cranky Harvey on Letterman.
Now a more civil interview at Penn State.

Sneak Peak
Someone posted a teaser of the american remake of Akira!! WOW!
Don't worry folks it'll be live action, so really it'll probably be much worse.

Rock Band 3
So just when I thought I was over it the go and do this:

You magnificent bastards!!!
Look at the intensity:

Also there is a new guitar with a hundred plus buttons:

I don't even know how that is gonna go down, but sounds amazing. Luckily the old guitar works as well.
So for some reason USA Today got the interview and early demo..I dunno, but you can see the the keytar in action, even if it's in someone's lap.

...

From Microcosm's website: "Starring super-notorious musclebound punk/metaldudes Glenn Danzig and Henry Rollins (with a little help from super-notorious soft-rockdudes Hall and Oates) Henry & Glenn Forever is a love story to end all love stories! The premise of this Cantankerous Titles-released comic is explained at the front of the zine: “Henry and Glenn are very good 'friends.' They are also 'room mates."
That sounds hilarious, the book is 64 pages and is only $4.00, they sell it on their website but I wanna find it in the wild. The best part is the Henry Rollins quote on the back: “Has Glenn seen this? Trust me, he would not be impressed.”
He probably wouldn't be very impressed by this either, me on the other hand..

The Human Centipede
Wow... my friend Chris was talking about this movie on our way to school and I forgot about it till I saw this again on boingboing. It is about some psychotic surgeon that kidnaps people and sows them together like this:

From Robert Ebert's review:
....there is a scene toward the end, as the Human Centipede attempts escape, that's so piteous, it transcends horror and approaches tragedy....
I am required to award stars to movies I review. This time, I refuse to do it. The star rating system is unsuited to this film. Is the movie good? Is it bad? Does it matter? It is what it is and occupies a world where the stars don't shine.
The movie is supposedly down right nauseating even for the hardcore horror fan. Who's brave enough to actually see this?
Even the trailer is a little rough so you sensitive types should skip it.
Dunno if it's still playing in theaters, I accidentally typed in "Human Caterpillar" and this really came up:

I checked it out, it was cheap, but sometimes you should really just spend the extra money..

Inappropriate Golden Books
Pixar story artist Josh Cooley has been doing these for a while, and will be compiling them into a book. I really want a print of the first one..

Playing with color
Read a scanning tutorial that really helped set up the line drawings. So I figured might as well start trying to color stuff..
